Paypal is the only form of payment that CarParts.com accepts for orders made via eBay. All payments should be made via the eBay auction and not by sending them directly to us. You can do this in two ways:

Returning the CarParts.com item ordered on eBay

Mistakes happen every once in a while, so we understand if you mistakenly place an order for an item and you wish to return it. We'll take the item back and credit the amount back to your Paypal account, but the amount that we'll credit back to your Paypal will be less 15% for restocking fee (restocking fee is waived if we're the ones who committed error in the delivery).

Shipping your eBay order

The shipping expenses for items returned to us will be shouldered by the customer. We advise that you ship the item back through UPS or FedEx for easier tracking. Once the item is delivered to us, we'll send you an email and you can expect your credit back in 2-3 business days.

How can I view my order status?

You can view your order through an order number. Upon placing your order, you will be given a username and password that you can use to check your order via the order number. You can find this number when you open your account and check your order details.
If you can't find the order number, you can call us at 1-877-702-1308 anytime. Just provide us with the date of your order and your full name (the name in the billing section, not the one in the ship to section) so that we can retrieve the number.

Will I receive notification when my order ships?

Yes. Upon shipping out of your package, we will send the tracking number to your email so that you can track your order.

CarParts.com offers a wide range of payment options to make your shopping more convenient.

How much is sales tax?

Sales tax will be collected from customers who live in a state where CarParts.com has warehouses and facilities—this is required by law. At present, we collect sales tax from customers residing in Illinois, Virginia, Kansas, Tennessee, and California. For customers from all other states, no sales tax is collected.
The amount of sales tax depends on the rates in your respective state and district.

Placing an Order

Can I change or cancel an order?

Right after the placement and confirmation of your order, it is automatically processed and forwarded to the warehouse electronically. Therefore, cancelling an order will not give the guarantee that the order will be cancelled. If you need to cancel an order, kindly do so (1) within 24 hours if the order is not shipped yet and (2) before your receipt of the Invoice-Payment voucher that will be sent to your email. You can call us at 1-877-702-1308.
If the order is already being processed by our shipping department, it will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee according to the total amount of the order. If the item is already packed or shipped, then we cannot cancel it anymore.
And remember: orders placed from Friday 5PM EST-Monday 9AM EST cannot be cancelled anymore because they are already being processed over the weekend for shipping.
If we are unable to cancel your order, your best option would be to return the product, with a 10% restocking fee. Check out our Return Policy page for more details.

When will I be billed?

We will only bill you once your order ships. This will take approximately 24 hours within the shipping of the item. You will be notified of this via a shipping confirmation email.
Some notes:
If you're using a "Bank Debit" card, a certain percentage of the cash fund corresponding to the amount of your order will be on "hold" until order is shipped. After shipping and billing, that will drop off.

Do you have a catalog with all of your parts available?

No, we do not have a printed catalog that lists all our offered parts. But, you can find everything that you need when you check our selection online. You don't have to scan page by page because you will find all parts compatible with your vehicle in just a few mouse clicks.

How do I place an order on CarParts.com?

Placing your order is easy and convenient. Once you have found and selected your part from the online catalog, you just have to add it to your shopping cart and then proceed to checkout. Then, fill up the form with the needed information for billing, shipping, and payment, and then place the order.

Return Exchange Policy

When should I expect credit for my return?

The timeframe may vary depending on the inspection that will have to take place to ensure that the part is in the condition stated when you requested a return. Among the other factors that will affect the length of time will be the time it takes for the return to be approved by the manufacturer, and the number of days it take for the bank to process your credit.
All in all, the processing period takes about 30 calendar days, and you can expect a refund within that number of days after you have sent your return request to us. After confirmation of delivery of the returned part to the warehouse and after approval by the manufacturer, it will take about 2-7 days for us to credit the amount back to your account. A "credit approved" email will then be sent to you.
Remember that there is a 10% restocking fee on parts returned that are not as a result of error on our part.

What is the return policy and procedure?

We at CarParts.com try our best to deliver the correct part and to keep it in excellent condition. If mistakes happen, however, you can inform us and we'll do everything we can to help you.
If the part you receive is damaged or is incorrect, you can return the product within five days after receiving it. Be sure, however, to inform us immediately about the problem: damage should be reported within 48 hours upon order receipt, while wrong items should be reported within 5 business days upon receipt of your order.
The returned product must not be damaged (unless it was received damaged) and must be complete. Another reminder is that tires and wheels have different return policies and procedures.

Return Procedures:

1. You will have to get a Return Merchandise Authorization number for the processing of your return. You can call us at 1-877-702-1308 for instructions, or fill up the form here and we'll send the number and instructions to you via email.
2. The said number should be placed on the outside of the box, which should be returned freight prepaid to the address on the invoice
3. Once we receive the part back, we'll process and issue your refund.

Is there a surcharge on certain items?

In a few of our items, yes.
These items include those that are very heavy or those that can be classified as oversized (even though not heavy) because of the shape of the package. For these items, there is a Heavy Item Charge.
If you order heavy parts shipped next day or second day, there is an additional surcharge ranging from $7 to $20. For some oversized and hazardous items, the next day or second day shipping is not available.

What type of warranty policy is there?

CarParts.com offers a limited 90-day warranty on all parts, taking effect from the time the part is received by the customer. The warranty covers only replacement parts, and the absence of a replacement will merit a full refund to the customer. The sales invoice is needed for the approval of replacement or refund request.
On top of the warranty that we offer, the item may also be covered by a limited 90-day warranty from the manufacturer provided that it's free from workmanship and material defects.
The warranty offered by CarParts.com covers the replacement of damaged parts, while the warranty offered by the manufacturers may change from time to time and depending on the case, according to the rules the manufacturer imposes.

The warranty will not cover the following:

1. Any amount that exceeds that of the original sale.
2. Part damage or failure because of abuse, misuse, improper repair or maintenance, improper installation, alteration, or modification.
3. Freight charges, cost of parts removal, normal wear and tear, and consequential or subsequent damage.
4. Lost or stolen packages mailed back by the customer containing the parts being claimed under warranty. The customer must coordinate with the shipping company instead.
When returning an item, it must have the Return Merchandise Authorization Number so that it will be accepted.

What types of items are non-returnable?

Repair manuals, CD-ROMS, custom-made parts, and anything that allows you to download a program to the vehicle are non returnable.
Repair manuals and CD-ROMS can only be returned as long as they remain unopened and sealed.
Electrical parts can be returned as well provided they have not been unsealed or plugged in.

What is the return policy for tires and wheels?

There is no warranty of merchantability or fitness for tires, aftermarket wheels, and tire & aftermarket wheel packages.
When returning these parts, there is a separate Return Authorization form that you need to fill up, and there are also special packing instructions enumerated in the form. You can download the forms here for wheels only and for tires and wheels.

Shipping

Which carriers do you use for shipping?

Most of our parts are shipped via Federal Express, UPS, and AGS. Meanwhile, engines are shipped via R & L trucking. There are also instances when our distributor partners may use other carriers.

Is there a faster way to get my parts?

You have the option to have your ordered part shipped through overnight or 2-day shipping, with additional charges. This option is available for most small and medium-sized packages, excluding orders for performance parts.
When availing of any of these options, your order must be received before 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific Time) Mondays to Fridays. There is no overnight or 2-day delivery on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. In case you place your order on the said days, the shipping cycle will start on the next available business day.
Airfreight carriers reserve the right to extend delivery time by 24 hours when delivering to residential addresses. This is beyond our control and airfreight charges will not be refunded.

How long will it take to get my order?

Items with 24-hour availability can be shipped in 5-12 business days from the date of your order (1-2 days processing, 3-10 days shipping). Shipping time may vary according to the location of the delivery, and the size of the package (shipping of larger parts via truck freight usually takes longer).
If you need your part sooner, you can opt to go for overnight or 2-day shipping, with an additional charge.
When you reach the check-out page during your shopping, youâll see options of the available shipping means, with their corresponding rate. You can select your preferred shipping option from these.
